Chuck Askew is the campus minister for Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at North Carolina State University and Meredith College. Chuck is from Atlanta, Georgia, became involved with RUF at the University of Florida and has been involved in campus ministry ever since. Chuck went to Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS, and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree. While there, he met his lovely wife, Lauren, from Syracuse, New York, who was in the Marriage and Family Therapy program of RTS. After graduating in 2005, Chuck and Lauren moved to Conway, South Carolina, to start the RUF at Coastal Carolina University. After four years at Coastal, Chuck was called to serve as the RUF campus minister at North Carolina State University and has been running with the Pack since 2009. Lauren and Chuck have three children, Charlie, Norah, and Sam.

Grace Valenti is the RUF Campus Staff at Meredith College and NC State.

Grace grew up in Lakeland, Florida, and after graduating from the University of Florida in May 2019 (Go Gators!) felt drawn to continue to serve in RUF through the internship. On any given day, you can find Grace hanging out with people as often as possible while hopefully incorporating good food and walks with her dog.

Henry grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a major in Religious Studies and was blessed to be a part of the RUF community at UT all 4 years. God used RUF in Henry’s life to remind him that he has a great need for a Savior and a great Savior for his need, and he is excited to join the RUF community at NC State. Henry loves Chipotle, the Beatles, and books that include any of the following: theology, existentialism, or hobbits. He can’t wait to move to Raleigh to convince everyone that Goodreads is the greatest social media app, and more importantly, by God’s grace, to remind students at NC State of the beauty found in Christ.

Grace is from Decatur, Alabama and graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Special Education. Growing up in the church, RUF was a natural next step once Grace got to college, and it became a big part of her college experience both spiritually and relationally. Reach out to Grace if you ever want to go on a walk outside, catch up over a cup of tea, or scream sing Taylor Swift. She also loves to talk about her current read and all things baseball (Go Braves!). Grace is excited to move her and her cowbell collection to Raleigh this fall!
